Boys & Girls Club of America Youth of the Year 2025

Boys & Girls Club of the Yakama Nation’s 1st ever Youth of the Year nominee, Helen Sekequaptewa. Helen participated as a sophomore attending Toppenish High School.

Helen represented BGCYN beautifully and highlighted challenges she and her fellow classmates endure. Her story is one that many of our club members face and we are very proud of the way that Helen represented that story and the way that she is helping to bring light to the issues and doing the work necessary to make a positive impact on her community.

“This is my favorite place. I never want to leave.”

-Mavis, club member about After School Program

“This is the best night ever!”

-Ezra, club member, community event
